Choreographer-actor Salman Yusuff Khan, who was last seen in dance-based film "ABCD: Anybody Can Dance", is excited about his next movie "Freedom". He hopes he will be able to display his acting prowess instead of his popular dance moves in the new project.

"I am excited to go and see the first cut. It is a film set in the 1980s and is a social-political drama. It has nothing to do with dance. Hopefully, I will get to show my acting skills in this movie," Salman told IANS.

"I don't want to get typecast as 'he only dances'. I want people to see that I can act and have that potential in me ... 'Freedom' will open up more avenues," he added.

Salman might want to get away from dance label, but it is because of his dancing talent that he bagged the role in the film.

"I was on board as a choreographer. I auditioned for one of the lead in the film and this is how I came on board," said Salman.

The 28-year-old wants to try out various genres to present his versatility on the big screen.

"I like to do romance, thriller action and explore the versatile actor in me," he said.

His fans will certainly see more of him as the choreographer, who is currently busy with dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6", has his hands full.

"There are a lot of things going on. I am reading different scripts and choreographing for different projects. But I have my hands full at the moment," said Salman.
