Satya Paul, Gauri Khan combine cocktails with dreams

Taking inspiration from some of the popular cocktails, Satya Paul has launched its finale line of the collection titled 'Cocktails and Dreams' co-designed by entrepreneur Gauri Khan, wife of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

The spring summer collection focuses on the flamboyance and vibrancy of bold hues taking its inspiration from the textures and layering symbolized by some of the cocktail drinks, read a statement.

The line continues to explore the freshness of colours, prints and silhouettes with delicate lace work and intricate embroidery.

Drawing inspiration from cocktails, some of the prints are inspired from crystallised ice structures and its texture. This collection is a strong melange of traditional yet futuristic artistry, featuring newer prints in a tryst of classic and electric colours.

 

Gauri's effortless and graceful aura is reflected through fluid, leisurely separates that are easy and yet make a bold statement.

The collection offers modern, relaxed silhouettes which are perfect for day wear with mesh inserted sheer shirts and tunics.

For the evening, the collection has options that are more structured with drapes and stylized elements. With free-flowing layers and cuts, the collection has been designed for a modern day, independent Satya Paul woman who is sophisticated and experimental, yet without compromising on her comfort.

The collection reflects a colour story inspired by the burst of shades seen in the dazzling cocktails; an effervescent and innovative colour palette comprising a riot of colours ranging from pastels to fiery cherry red. It consists of a vibrant and unique array of shades from amber and burnt orange to hues of cranberries.

Encompassing a blend of traditional mystique and contemporary glamour, satin and georgette remain essential to the collection with the addition of flat silk. A variety of embellishment techniques of laser cutting and foiling, with lace, dori and resham embroidery are skilfully woven into the fabrics.

There are accessories too. The collection includes a range of scarves, ties, pocket squares, bags and clutches. This season Satya Paul reinvents its accessories with a larger collection of metallic clutches, printed totes with laser cut work, slouchy slings, messenger, and oversized bags. The bags include a metallic lining inspired by the rim of a glass.

The new season continues the bridal assortment offering contemporary silhouettes by keeping the ethnicity intact with carefully chosen fabrics and materials. A variety of embellishment techniques have been used, including fine crystal work, foiling and hand crafted embroidery.
