Bollywood director Prakash Jha, who is set to release his film "Satyagraha", says that it has nothing to do with social activist Anna Hazare's movement.
Contrary to what the reports have suggested, the director revealed that Amitabh Bachchan's character has no link to Anna Hazare.
"I have not commented on this before. The film is not based on Anna Hazare and has nothing to do with the movement. The entire process of satyagraha comes from Gandhiji. Mr. Bachchan plays the role of a satyagrahi who believes in truth," he said at the global launch of the trailer held here Wednesday.
Talking about the experience of working with Bachchan, the director said that he is fortunate to be able to work with the veteran actor.
"It is very fortunate for us that someone from our generation gets to work with Mr. Bachchan," he said.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpai and Arjun Rampal.
Talking about the concept of of a global launch, Ajay Devgn said that since the promo was nice, they wanted to do something big. Prakash Jha along with Amrita Rao, Manoj Bajpai, Amitabh Bachchan and Sidharth Roy Kapur were present here while Kareena Kapoor and Ajay Devgn were present via video chat from London.
"It was a great idea. I was here and so was Kareena. The idea came when we were dubbing for the promo. We liked it so much that we felt that we should launch it in a big way," Ajay said.
Most of Jha's films like "Arakshan" and "Gangajal" revolve around controversial subjects and the director said this is what triggers protests, but they all stop once the film is released.
"When you make a film on a social subject, everyone has different perspectives. So protests are natural. But when the film releases, it becomes better," Jha said.
