DMK president M. Karunanidhi on Monday termed the Supreme Court ruling in corruption case against AIADMK leader J. Jayalalithaa as a very big victory and justice in full.

PMK founder S. Ramadoss demanded the resignation of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam over the issue.

Speaking to reporters here, Karunanidhi said: "This is not only the first victory but also a very big victory. It is natural for us to feel happy when a long expected justice is obtained in full."

The Supreme Court on Monday ruled as "bad in law" Tamil Nadu's appointment of special public prosecutor (SPP) Bhavani Singh in the hearing of Jayalalithaa's plea by the Karnataka High Court against her conviction in disproportionate assets case.

The case was filed by DMK leader K. Anbazhagan.
