A 50-year-old lab assistant of a government school has been arrested for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old girl student in north-east Delhi, police said on Friday.
The lab assistant has been identified as Jay Prasad, the police said.
According to the police, the incident took place in July, 2016, in Nand Nagri area of north-east Delhi, but the family of the girl approached the police only on Thursday.
"We have arrested the lab assistant today (Friday), who molested the girl," a senior police officer told IANS.
A case against the lab assistant was registered under section 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code, the police added.
