Flir One is a $349 (Rs.21,220) iPhone accessory that allows your smartphone's display to show glowing heat signatures of people, animals and anything else you point the camera to, says the information available on its website.

The camera gives superhero like powers to a user, and can be used to find friends in the dark, look for animals hidden in bushes, detect water leaks and check for electrical shorts in a circuit.

The Flir One comes with its own battery built in and fits on the back of the iphone 5 and 5S, turning it into a high end thermal imaging device.

The Flir One website lists other interesting uses like "find out if the dog, or your husband, has been lying on your favourite sofa", "Check around your car in a dark parking lot" and "find insects and rodents in walls".

Firefighters and military can use the device to look into smoke and darkness, the little case has shrunk the technology into a package accessible very easily.
