Bringing senior artists and upcoming painters together, a 50-day exhibition here is providing a golden opportunity to budding artists to learn from masters.
Christened 'Prayas', the event will see 200 pieces of artwork by 100 artists, including both old and new.
"It would provide a chance for both seniors and juniors to share their thoughts at a common platform," Amartya Chakraverty of Chemould Art Gallery (the host of the show), told IANS.
The exhibition that began in July (and run till September)is divided into 10 slots - each spanning five days.
"The slots are divided by the nature of art works like - water colour show, acrylic on paper/ canvas, oil colour show, mixed media show, sculpture show etc," said Chakraverty.
Moreover, to enrich young minds, workshops are being planned under the mentorship of established artists.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the aid of Uttarakhand tragedy victims.
