Veteran Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov signed a three-year contract with the AS Roma for five million euros ($5.83 million), both football clubs have confirmed.
"The club is pleased to confirm the signing of defender Aleksandar Kolarov from English side Manchester City," Roma said in a statement on Saturday.
The Serbian figured in 165 appearances for the Manchester club since 2010, helping his side clinch the English Premier League (EPL) title and English Football League (EFL) cup twice each.
"I am extremely happy to be here, I will give 100 per cent and more for Roma. My objective is always the same: To win," Kolarov said.
Roma Director Monchi said 32-year-old Kolarov's experience will help the side to perform better.
