Seven people, including three women, were critically injured Wednesday when a fire broke out in a two-storey residential building in Delhi, police said.
The fire broke out around 7.30 a.m. on the first floor of the building in Welcome area of east Delhi.
Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot and they took two hours to douse the blaze.
Police said at least 10 members of two families were present inside the building when the fire started.
Of them, seven who suffered 40-50 percent burns were undergoing treatment in hospital.
Police said they were trying to ascertain the cause of the fire.
