Seven killed, 33 injured in Rajasthan accidents

At least seven people, including three students from a Delhi institute, were killed and 33 injured in two road accidents in Rajasthan Sunday, police said.

Three students, including two girls, were killed and three others injured when their car overturned near Jaisalmer, some 500 km from Jaipur, police inspector Jetha Ram said.

The six students had come to Jaisalmer from Delhi Saturday and were returning after spending a night at a resort when the accident occurred around 10.30 a.m., he said. The identities of the students were being confirmed.

The injured students were undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jodhpur.

 

In another accident, four passengers were killed and 30 injured when their bus fell into a gorge in Bengu area of Chittorgarh district, some 300 km from Jaipur.

The deceased included an infant, a police officer told IANS.
