Sevilla forward Carlos Fernandez, currently taking part in his team's camp in Orlando in the United States, will be sidelined for four weeks following a thigh injury, according to the Spanish football club.
Fernandez, 20, sustained his injury during the early training days of the first team, which has set up camp in the United States under the command of Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli in preparation for the new season, reports Efe.
Medical checks revealed that he has suffered a muscular injury in his left thigh.
The Spain U-19 player joined Sevilla's first team for the first time in December 2013.
Fernandez is the second player in Sevilla to sustain an injury during the pre-season preparations, following the injury of Japan's Hiroshi Kiyotake last week, which will require rest for nearly a month.
