Sevilla football club announced on Saturday that it has reached an agreement to extend the contract of Spanish midfielder Victor Machin 'Vitolo' until June 2020, while the 25 million euros ($28.3 million) buyout clause will be significantly increased.
The Spanish club tweeted that it has reached "an agreement pending signature" to renew Vitolo's contract, Efe news reported.
Sevilla added that Vitolo is "a key player" and one of the team's "leaders" since his arrival in the summer of 2013 from Las Palmas.
During his three seasons at Sevilla, the 26-year-old midfielder played 133 official matches, including three finals of the UEFA Europa League.
