Barcelona Shopping Night, a retail experience hosted by a local street, has dedicated this year's theme to William Shakespeare upon the upcoming 400th anniversary of the bard's death in 2016.
Stores on Passeig de Gracia street are open from 8.00 p.m. (local time) Thursday to 1.00 a.m. Friday in a festive atmosphere, Xinhua reported.
Passeig de Gracia and its adjacent streets are decorated with items and scenarios which remind people of Shakespeare's works such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Othello or Midsummer Night's Dream.
At the Globe Theatre, shows were staged to pay tribute to Shakespeare's classics.
