Vicky Ahuja spends time with real life school peons
More From This Section
Actor Vicky Ahuja spent a lot of time with real life school peons while shooting for "Meri Durga" in Punjab and Haryana to understand his character of a Haryanvi peon better.
"As an actor, one always wishes to add authenticity to their character and I too felt that when we are already in the real location, why not meet real peons in schools and understand their mindset and daily routine," Vicky said in a statement.
He added: "I got an insight into how they tackle students and the daily school work. It is amazing how they manage and multitask altogether. I am sure I will now be able to do more justice to my role of Yashpal."
"Meri Durga", which will air on Star Plus, is set against the backdrop of Haryana, and brings a story of a father who, against all odds, is determined to educate his daughter for her better future. On the other hand, his daughter, despite her best efforts to study and noble intentions, keeps falling short of his expectations.
