Sharad Kelkar to play blind man on in TV show (TV Snippets)

Actor Sharad Kelkar will be seen playing a visually challenged character named Rishab in the upcoming TV show "Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai".

He blindfolds himself sometimes to understand his character in a better way.

"I've never played a blind man before and so I concentrated my energies to train myself to walk like a blind man. This show is very different from anything I've ever done before," Sharad said in a statement.

"I have been working towards perfecting myself for the show ever since I came to know I would be playing this role. I hope my hard work pays off," he added.

 

"Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai" will be soon aired on Star Plus.

'Piku' twist in 'Bhabhi Ji...'

Popular comedy show "Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai" will soon witness a twist in its storyline after its lead actor Rohitash Gaud, who plays Tiwari, will be seen facing 'Piku' like situations.

In the Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone starrer "Piku", Amitabh was seen as Deepika's father, who suffers constipation.

"The upcoming track will see Tiwari facing the problem of constipation. It will be depicted in a very hilarious way and I'm sure it is going to leave the viewers in splits," Rohitash said in a statement.

The &TV show also features Saumya Tandon, Shubhangi Atre and Aasif Sheikh.

Abhishek Mallik loses 14 kg to play college boy

Actor Abhishek Mallik, who will next be seen as Ranveer in upcoming TV show "Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi", lost 14 kg weight in a span of two months for his role as a college boy.

He felt the need to tone down his physique and get a leaner look.

"It started while I auditioned to essay the role of Ranveer in 'Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi' and they happened to just love it, but then the channel and I personally wanted to change my look for the show," Abhishek said in a statement.

"That's when I decided to work on myself and that's when the transformation started. I had to follow a diet that didn't allow me to have junk food and I was told to just focus on proper meals."

"Although the start of it was a little difficult, but now when I look at myself I feel good and I am glad I took my health and fitness seriously and lost 14 kg," he added.

"Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi" will be aired on &TV starting from February 6.

Delhi girl Manya Narang returns to 'Indian Idol 9'

Delhi-based Manya Narang, who got eliminated from "Indian Idol 9" earlier, will be returning on the popular singing reality show as the first wild card entrant.

Narang, 22, started singing at the age of four and at the age of nine, her music teacher in school started teaching her.

"Manya Narang is the first wild card entry on 'Indian Idol 9'. She is a great talent and we are sure she will deliver magical performances in the coming episodes," ace composer Anu Malik said in a statement.

Anu is a judge on the Sony Entertainment Television show alongside Sonu Nigam and Farah Khan.
