There was some unease in the ruling BJP-led NDA camp when the Shiv Sena, one of the biggest partners in the alliance, decided to boycott parliamentary work on Friday during the no confidence motion.
Shiv Sena MP Anandrao Adsul said: "We are boycotting the parliamentary work today; we have not even signed our attendance in Parliament."
"The motion which the TDP and the Congress have brought, we have nothing to do with that," he said.
"Our party president has said that we are the representative of the public and we have been fighting for them in the House and outside."
He said that when the Shiv Sena talked about the people, no party supported it.
