A United Arab Emirates (UAE) passenger plane was hit by small arms fire while landing at Baghdad airport, an airport source told Xinhua news agency Tuesday.
On Monday night, a plane of budget airliner Flydubai was hit by bullets from the al-Radhwaniya area, just south of the airport, which caused damage to the aircraft, the source said on condition of anonymity.
The source could not give further details, saying that an official statement would be released soon by the Iraqi Authority of Aviation.
Media reports said that Emirates Airlines suspended flights to Baghdad Tuesday after the shooting incident.
