TV actress Shubhangi Atre is a huge fan of ace boxer MC Mary Kom, and wants to play the athlete on the small screen.
Mary Kom has recently won her sixth world title.
Praising Mary Kom, the "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!" fame star urged Indian television shows' makers to create a show on the boxer's life as it will encourage the youth.
"I really feel the need of a series based on the life of Mary Kom even on television screen. She is really an inspiration for the youth and watching her will be a way to encourage youth.
"I myself want my daughter to learn a lot from her. If I'm given a chance, I would love to play her on the TV screen," Shubhangi said in a statement.
Mary Kom's life was brought alive on the big screen by actress Priyanka Chopra in a film directed by Omung Kumar.

Jannat Zubair launches her app
It seems launching personal apps has become a trend among television celebrities. After actress Rashami Desai, "Tu Aashiqui" actress Jannat Zubair Rahmani launched one on Tuesday to strengthen her fan connect.
"I feel blessed to have millions of people who follow me on different social media platforms and I'm glad they like the content that I share and they never fail to surprise me with numerous edits, sketches, fan arts, quotes etc.
"I try to connect with them as much as possible but obviously can't reply everybody and I miss out some edits as well, hence we thought of making my own app with a thought that this will help me to connect with my fans and to notice every effort made by them," Jannat said in a statement.
The app has been developed from US-based tech firm escapex and includes different segments and contests for Jannat's fans.

Dheeraj Gumber joins 'Gujrat Bhavan'
Actor Dheeraj Gumber has joined the ensemble cast of television show "Gujrat Bhavan".
Dheeraj, known for his roles in TV shows like "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" and "Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki", will be seen playing the role of a boy next door Sumi in "Gujrat Bhavan".
On his role, Dheeraj said in a statement: "I am playing a guy next door who loves working out and loves being in fashion and trend. He (Sumi) has come to Mumbai from Punjab to earn a position in his life. My character is a bit naive and innocent."
"Gujrat Bhavan" is a comedy family drama on the nuisances of daily life and coping with small problems. The show will soon air on channel MUBU TV.
