Six candidates from various political parties filed their nomination papers for the Dec 4 assembly polls in Delhi, the state electoral
officer said Saturday.
Sat Prakash Rana, Renu Rana and Bitto Singh filed papers from Bijwasan; Nafe Singh Rajput filed his papers from Burari; Shiv Kumar Tiwari and Vijay Chaudhary filed nomination papers for the New Delhi constituency.
They belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Hindustan Janata Party,
and the Akhil Bharatiya Janata Sabha; one of them is contesting as an independent.
"Though the number of nominations filed are less than expected, the overall picture would be clear after the date of withdrawal of the nominations Nov 28. Scrutiny of nominations will take place Nov 18," the electoral officer said.
