Six members of a gang of inter-state vehicle thieves were arrested here and 11 stolen vehicles, including cars and trucks, seized from them, police said Thursday.
Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Yadav said following a tip off Ikram, Sher Mohammad, Shahzad, Nazim, Deen Mohammad and Rajiv Pathak, all residents of Meerut district, were arrested from different places.
Three trucks were recovered at their behest from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, Sonepat in Haryana and Delhi.
During questioning, the accused confessed to stealing vehicles, forging the documents and selling them, he said.
They stole luxury cars from Noida, Delhi, Ghaziabad and other towns around the national capital, police said.
The police also recovered five cars, two motorcycles and a scooter from them.
