The Hyderabad-based company, which has 50 skill development centres spread across 12 states, is looking to expand its operations to more states during the current year.

Currently the company is training people on 40 different types of skills across six sectors - IT/ITES, automotive, retail, hospitality, construction and capital goods industry.

It has provided training to over 30,000 people especially in remote rural areas of the country since 2008, said Ananth Rao, chairman, Skillpro.

The company is working with more than 100 organizations including government, international agencies, corporate and NGOs for training people on specific skill as per the requirement of the organization.

"We have a highly qualified and experienced team that will enable us to achieve our mission of skilling one million people and putting them in jobs," Rao told reporters.

Quoting a report by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), he said more than 500 people would need skill training by 2022.
