Amid growing cyberattack incidents around the world, global cybersecurity firm Skybox Security on Tuesday said it has marked 62 per cent Year-over-Year (YoY) increase in sales in the first half of 2017.

The company attributed the strong demand to the growing need for security management tools in organisations to address compliance violations, exposures and security breaches.

"We are in a new era of cybercrime, highlighted by WannaCry and Petya. What's needed are solutions that help security leaders more effectively use the tools they have, increase staff efficiency and drive systematic processes so they can be more strategic in addressing risk," said Gidi Cohen, CEO, Skybox Security, in a statement.

The California-based firm saw 59 per cent YoY increase in product transactions with 80 per cent increase in deals valued at more than $5,00,000.

Earlier this year, the company launched "threat-centric vulnerability management" capabilities which can be used by organisations to determine and manage cyber vulnerabilities.
