Saritha Nair, one of the main accused in the solar panels scam, Monday said she would take legal action against people who are circulating nude pictures believed to be of her.
She said her detractors want her to end her life and were behind the circulation of the photos.
"I will not commit suicide. I am yet to see it (pictures) and once I have a look at it, I will consider taking legal steps," Nair told reporters here when asked about her nude and semi-nude pictures going viral on WhatsApp.
The solar scam made headlines in Kerala June 3 last year when Nair was arrested for duping people by promising them agencies for solar panels and windmills. Two weeks later, her live-in partner Biju Radhakrishnan was also taken into custody.
Following the scam, three staffers at Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's office were suspended for having close links with Nair.
Nair is currently out on bail.
In March, she threatened to reveal more details pertaining to the case and claimed that if she does so several political leaders will have sleepless nights. Nair had also filed a case against Congress legislator A.P. Abdulla Kutty.
