At least 17 people were killed in a car bomb explosion in Somalia's capital on Tuesday in an attack that was claimed by the Al-Shabaab terror group.
The explosion took place outside a government office in Wadajir district, and several ambulances attended to the wounded and transferred them to hospital, Efe news reported.
Police sources did not rule out an increase in the death toll due to the large number of those seriously injured.
This is the second attack against civilians since the beginning of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Last Wednesday, 25 people were killed in another attack by the same group at a popular restaurant, where the assailants barricaded themselves along with dozens of hostages for several hours.
