Actresses Tara Sharma and Sonal Chauhan have extended their support for the upcoming Mumbai Juniorthon 2016.
Tara, who has acted in films like "Saaya", "Masti" and "Dulha Mil Gaya", says it is important to encourage children to go out more often.
Mumbai Juniorthon 2016 -- a Sanjay Chhabria venture -- will be held on December 4 at Bandra-Kurla Complex here. And the stars came out in support of the initiative on Monday.
"Good health is the biggest priority for us. I have two kids one is 5 years old and another is 7 years old. I have already seen that kids feel happy when they play outside. As a parent I think, if you give them a football and an ipad, hopefully it is always a balance," Tara said.
The "Khosla ka Ghosla" actress, Tara added: "I have been running in marathons dedicated for causes right from the beginning. I am a supporter of all good causes which help in giving positive change."
Sonal -- known for films "Jannat" and "3G" -- also stressed on the need for social interaction among children.

"When we were young, we used to go to parks, do cycling and all. My niece is just nine months old and she is hooked to the iPad. I think it just takes away the charm of growing up. Parents should make sure that the kids go out and play in the garden with other kids. After all, human beings are social animals," Sonal said.
The "Jannat" actress added: "Any kind of marathon for a cause is good. You are giving them a support."
Mumbai Juniorthon is an annual marathon running event organised for children in the age group of 6-15 to initiate more physical activity among youngsters.
