Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to the AIIMS here Monday night after she complained of uneasiness in the Lok Sabha, has been discharged from the hospital, a doctor said.

Gandhi was discharged around 1.30 a.m. after undergoing several tests, All India Institute of Medical Sciences director R.C. Deka said, adding that some medicine the Congress president had taken Sunday "did not suit her due to which she suffered uneasiness and headache".

Gandhi, 66, was debating the food security bill in the Lok Sabha when she complained of uneasiness and looked shaken as she left the house. Doctors later said she was doing "fine".
