"Pyaar Ka Punchnama" actress Sonnalli Seygall's date with the capital turned out to be an unexpected experience when she got mobbed by a group of her fans. She says it means she's doing "something right".

Sonnalli came out to dine with her relatives at a popular mall when the incident took place here just last week. The actress flew down to to the capital city for a day to spend some time with her cousin who had come down from China for Christmas.

They wanted the evening to be a private affair so that they could spend some quality family time, and Sonnalli had also planned to take her little nephew and niece to a popular toy store post the dinner. But she never anticipated to draw the crowd she eventually did.

Her cousins were initially amused, and even captured the scene of people pushing each other, but they gradually realised the crowd was getting unruly, and so whisked Sonnalli away, said a source.

Commenting on the experience, the actress said in a statement: "I didn't quite anticipate this. I have been to public places in Delhi before and have experienced being surrounded by fans, but this was something else. However, it does feel good to know that my work has been noticed and that goes to prove, I must be doing something right.

"The incident gives me more motivation to work harder and meet the expectations of those who have shown so much love and appreciation."

"I wanted to do the film because it's my kind of zone, it's young and fun and about friendship. I play a girl-next-door and any girl would relate to it.

The cast and crew of the film came together to celebrate the birthday of their director Jaideep Chopra in Mumbai on Sunday night.

About the film, the director who turned 44, said: "It's just a film's title, and it doesn't mean that the world is ending in 2016. Popular TV star Harshad Chopra, who stars in the movie, said, "I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm feeling all the emotions, all in an extreme manner. There is a lot of nervousness and also tremendous confidence because the project is extremely good."

Farhan loves 'kitchen scene' with Aditi

Intense action sequences as well as mind games were part of actor Farhan Akhtar's character in "Wazir", but it was a romantic kitchen scene with actress Aditi Rao Hydari, which is his favourite from the forthcoming movie.

"There is a kitchen scene in the movie. It is a reconciliation scene and that stands out for me," Farhan said when asked about his favourite scene in the film.

"You see everyone has their own favorite scene in the movie, but this scene with Aditi stands out for me. It took us four or five days to shoot it due to different reasons... Every time I got ready to reconcile with Aditi, my wife in film, something happened," quipped the actor.

The scene is perhaps the one seen in the song "Tu mere paas", which features in the film's promo. Farhan is seen trying to help an unhappy Aditi in doing the dishes but when he starts leaving after her poor response, she holds him back and they share an intense moment.

"Wazir" is an emotional journey of two unusual friends -- a paralyzed chess grandmaster (Amitabh Bachchan) and a grief-stricken ATS officer (Farhan) -- brought together by a twist of fate.

Produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and directed by Bejoy Nambiar, "Wazir" also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh. The film releases on January 8 next year.
