Villarreal mid-fielder Bruno Soriano replaced injured Cesc Fabregas in the Spain's 23-member squad that will face Belarus and Germany.
Soriano replaced Fabrigas Tuesday after the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) doctors confirmed that the Chelsea mid-fielder suffered a muscle problem during his side's 2-1 win over Liverpool Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Soriano was first called into the national team in the summer of 2010, following Spain's triumph in that summer's World Cup finals and his final call up was in friendly games against Serbia and China that same year.
Bruno received his call ahead of Manchester United's Juan Mata, Athletic Club Bilbao's Ander Iturraspe and Atletico Madrid mid-fielder Mario Suarez.
Spain will take on Belarus in the Euro 2016 qualifying game in Huelva before facing world champions Germany in a friendly in Vigo next Tuesday.
