South Africa trail India by 252 runs

South Africa were 82 for no loss in the first innings against India at stumps on the second day of the Boxing Day Test at the Kingsmead here Friday.

Skipper Graeme Smith was batting on 35 and Alviro Petersen on 46 as South Africa finished the day 252 runs behind India.

Earlier in the day, India were all out for 334 runs in the first innings. Murali Vijay was the top scorer with 97 while Cheteshwar Pujara (70) and Ajinkya Rahane (51 not out) came up with valuable innings.
