South Korea beat China 8-6 in the women's curling competition at the ongoing Winter Asian Games here on Monday.
Despite a flying start, China had a hard time in the first half, conceding two points respectively in the second and third sets, reports Xinhua news agency.
The second half witnessed China gain three points in the ninth set but that was not enough to turn the table.
"South Korea settled down earlier than us in this match," China coach Tan Weidong said.
"But we played tough in the second half and gave the opponents a huge pressure. We possibly could win or draw if they made mistakes."
