Rome, May 14 (IANS/EFE) Spanish tennis player Carla Suarez has defeated the British Heather Watson in a convincing 6-1, 6-1 victory in just in one hour and seven minutes, reaching the third round of the Italian Open.
This was the third clash between the two players, who last played in the 2015 Indian Wells Masters, which ended with a victory for Suarez, Efe reported on Thursday.
Watson was the winner of their first match up in the ATP Auckland Open in 2011.
Suarez will be playing against the Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, whom she faced for the first time in 2014 at Wimbledon, a match that ended in a victory for Bouchard.
