A special curated section of James Bond films will be screened at the forthcoming 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), to be held from November 20-28 in Goa.

The festival organisers on Tuesday announced that the special section will showcase nine films from the franchise.

The films include "Dr. No" and "Goldfinger" starring Sean Connery; "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" starring George Lazenby; "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Octopussy" starring Roger Moore; "License to Kill" starring Timothy Dalton; "Golden Eye" and "The World is Not Enough" starring Pierce Brosnan; and "Skyfall" starring Daniel Craig.

Festival Director Sunit Tandon said: "It is a first of its kind section at any film festival in the country, perhaps worldwide. The idea behind this was to be able to celebrate this highly popular franchise, tracing it through the years.

"Films featuring all the actors who have played this iconic character have been showcased in this section. We are thankful to the producers and studios behind the franchise to help us make this possible and present this package as a whole."

Former tennis champion Vijay Amritraj and actor Kabir Bedi, both of whom starred in "Octopussy", will attend the special screening.
