Budget passenger carrier SpiceJet on Thursday said that it has expanded its international operations to Male, the Maldives.
The airline launched its daily direct flight service from Thiruvananthapuram to the Maldives capital on Wednesday on a Bombardier Q400 aircraft.
Besides Male, the airline offers connectivity to six other international destinations -- Dubai, Bangkok, Colombo, Kabul, Dhaka, and Muscat.
Currently, SpiceJet on an average operates 354 daily flights to 46 destinations, including 39 domestic and seven international ones.
The airline connects its network with a fleet of 32 Boeing 737NG and 17 Bombardier Q-400s.
