Budget carrier SpiceJet on Monday reported a rise of 79 per cent in its net profit for the second quarter of 2017-18.
According to the airline, its net profit during the quarter under review increased to Rs 105.3 crore from Rs 58.9 crore reported for the corresponding period of last fiscal.
"In the seasonal weak quarter, profits grew by 80 per cent against a capacity growth of 22 per cent during this period as against the same quarter last year. This is SpiceJet's highest Q2 profit in its history of operations," the company said in a statement.
