In a letter sent to all the NSFs, the ministry said that in case the constitution has not been amended yet, the concerned NSF is requested to expedite the process and bring the proposal for amendment in the next general body meeting.
While furnishing the application for grant of annual recognition for the year 2011, the NSFs had informed that they would amend their by-laws/constitution to incorporate the guidelines issued by the government, including those relating to age and tenure limits.
The letter said this may be treated as most immediate and a reply in this regard may be sent by Jan 31. The NSFs were also advised that continuation of their recognition may be impacted if the already agreed amendments are not carried out.
