A Kolkata-bound Sri Lankan aircraft made an emergency landing at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here on Wednesday due to a suspected tyre burst, airport sources said.
All passengers and members of the crew are safe.
The Sri Lankan Airline Flight number UL-187, coming from Colombo, landed safely at 11.24 a.m.
The plane taxied on its own before coming to a stop.
Earlier, full emergency had been declared at the airport, at 11.18 a.m., for the flight after the pilot contacted the Air Traffic Control.
The emrergency was withdrawn at 11.24 a.m., the sources said.

After inspection, a decap was observed in the inner rear wheel of the starboard side of the aircraft.
