On a high after beating legendary shuttler Lee Chong Wei, Indian ace Kidambi Srikanth is confident of helping his team Bengaluru Top Guns achieve their goal in the Premier Badminton League (PBL).
World No.9 Srikanth got the better of former World No.1 Lee Chong Wei, of the Hyderabad Hunters, 15-12, 6-15, 15-7 to win the men's singles contest in style at the National Sports Club Of India (NSCI) on Sunday.
Top Guns will take on the Mumbai Rockets on Tuesday. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from their losses on Sunday. Bengaluru lost to Hyderabad Hunters while Mumbai Rockets lost to Chennai Smashers.
"This being an Olympic year, there is always sharing of ideas and experience between your fellow competitors which happens when you respect and admire each other's game," Srikanth said on Monday.
Srikanth is likely to face compatriot H.S. Prannoy in the singles match.
"Having trained with Prannoy on a regular basis, sharing ways to improve your game is definitely helpful when you are looking to compete in the Olympics and it helps that we are all at the same level in terms of competition," he said.
