After a spate of flops across different genres such as mythology, action and thrillers, Telugu actor Meka Srikanth has pinned all his hopes on forthcoming Telugu comedy "Malligadu Marriage Bureau". He says it will give him a much needed hit.
"Audiences have loved my comedy entertainers such as 'Vinodham' and 'Pelli Sandadi'. After a long time, I'm doing a full-length comedy film. I hope it will be accepted by the audience and I'm positive it will give me the hit I've been waiting for," Srikanth told IANS.
Srikanth's last few duds include "Lucky", "Devaraya", "Shatruvu", "Shadow" and "Kshatriya" over the last few years.
"In the last few years, I've been busy doing a lot of action films. I suppose the audience have gotten bored of seeing me in such films. Therefore, I feel this film will come as a welcome change and make them laugh till their jaws drop," he said.
The film, directed by Uday Raj, features Manochitra in the lead, while comedian Brahmanandam will be essaying an important role.
Meanwhile, Srikanth will soon start shooting for yet-to-be-titled Telugu project, which also stars Ram Charan Teja.
