A week after two employees of Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy were removed and asked to go on leave, a third one was sacked Wednesday on grounds of moral impropriety.

A statement from the Chief Minister's Office Friday said that K.P. Girish Kumar, who was working with the 24x7 grievance call centre of Chandy's office, was sacked after a woman complained that he spoke to her indecently a few times.

It added that Girish was sacked June 19 and a police probe has been ordered.

The woman alleged that Kumar was calling her and spoke to her in an indecent manner.

"I reported his behaviour to Chandy's office last month but no action was taken," the woman said.

After TV news channels reported the incident, Chandy's office stated that the employee has been sacked.

"A third employee of the Chief Minister's Office has been fired within a few days. If Chandy can't manage his own office, how will he run the state?" said former state home minister and CPI-M legislator Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

Earlier, two employees of the Chief Minister's Office were removed and told to go on leave for having links with a couple who had allegedly cheated numerous people of Rs.5 crore after promising them solar panels.
