Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of "Captain America: Civil War" and "Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1", have confirmed that Star-Lord and Thor would also make appearances in the third instalment of the "The Avengers" franchise.
More Marvel superheroes are joining the "Infinity War" against supervillian Thanos in the film, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what James Gunn has done. (Joe Russo and I) are both big fans of what James Gunn has done," Anthony Russo said in a chat at the official Marvel comic book website.
"Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited," he added.
Talking about Thor reuniting with the other Avengers, Joe Russo also dropped some hints at what fans could expect from the character's upcoming solo movie, "Thor: Ragnarok".
"I'm excited to work with Thor. They're doing some really interesting stuff with 'Ragnarok' and where he's gonna be at the beginning of 'Infinity War' is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that," he said.
