Director Tanuja Chandra has completed her next romantic comedy entertainer which features actor Irrfan Khan, and says she is stepping out of her "comfort zone" with the project.
On the sidelines of the premiere of Hollywood film "The Big Sick", Chandra said: "I have just finished up shooting a film. I can't talk about it right now, but its editing is going on.
"I will call it an Indian romcom. Usually, my films have violence and female protagonists in it, but this is different. This film also has a female protagonist, but it is a romcom. There is no violence in this film."
Known for films like "Dushman" and "Sangharsh" -- both of which had strong female protagonists, asked if she is breaking her own image with the new film, Chandra said: "Yes, I am doing so."
"I always wanted to do a light film. I thought drama is more my style, but I wanted to go out of my comfort zone, and so I did this."
Irrfan features in the movie with southern actress Parvathy.
