Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav on Sunday asked the BJP-led opposition to stop its political propaganda to defame the state on the law and order issue.

"Stop the negative politics against Bihar. The Grand Alliance government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is committed to the rule of law, governance and development. We have a clearcut agenda to take Bihar forward and transform it into a developed state," he told the media here.

Tejaswi asked leaders of the BJP and its allies whether they will use the words 'aatank raj' (reign of terror) for the country after a terror attack either in Pathankot in Punjab or elsewhere.

"Kya desh mein aatank raj hai agar aatankwadi hamla hota hai? (Is there a reign of terror if a terrorist attack occurs in the country)," the RJD leader said.

"How then can jungle raj prevail in Bihar if some crime has been reported," he asked.

The deputy chief minister said the BJP and its allies were playing negative politics by claiming a return of 'jungle raj' in Bihar.

"We will not compromise on the rule of law and have directed police officials to take action to curb crimes and ensure justice and security to all," Tejaswi said.
