Uruguayan soccer player Luis Suarez confirmed that he will continue playing at England's Liverpool, quelling the suspicions of his transfer to Spain's Real Madrid.
"I had several options but in the end I am happy because I will stay in Liverpool," said Suarez after arriving at the Carrasco International Airport here Monday, reports Xinhua.
"I always said that if there was an offer, it will be okay, but that if not, I would gladly remain with Liverpool, which is what I am going to do," explained Suarez.
The 26-year-old forward has not played this season in the English league because of a sanction for biting Branislav Ivanovic in Chelsea.
Suarez was set to join the training session with the team. Uruguay are fighting for a ticket to Brazil 2014.
