Suchith spins out seven wickets

Nineteen-year-old off-spinner Jagadeesha Suchith took 7/93 to bring some cheer for the bowlers on a day that witnessed high scores in the semifinals of the Safi Darashah All India cricket tournament here Sunday.

Despite Suchit's heroics for KSCA Secretary's XI, their opponents KSCA XI made 341 all out with Manish Pandey (105, 12x4, 3x6), Ganesh Satish (82, 10x4, 2x6) and Amit Verma (71, 8x4, 2x6) getting the runs.

KSCA Secretary's XI were 52 for no loss in nine overs at stumps on the first day of the four-day game.

In the other semifinal, KSCA President's XI, thanks to an opening partnership of 285 runs in 69.2 overs between Samarth Ravikumar (171, 228b, 27x4) and Liyan Khan 141 (237b, 16x4), rattled up 444/2 in 98 overs against Haryana CA while Kunal Kapoor helped himself to an unbeaten 84 (94b, 12x4).
