An overcast morning that saw light drizzle in some parts of the capital gave way to a sunny, sultry Sunday in Delhi. Light rain is expected Monday, the Met office said.
"The sky will remain cloudy tomorrow (Monday) and some parts of the city may get light rain," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and the minimum temperature are likely to hover around 40 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Sunday's maximum temperature settled at 37.8 degree Celsius, three notches below the season's average while the minimum was two notches below the average at 25 degrees Celsius courtesy cool winds accompanied by light drizzle early morning.
The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 72 percent.
Saturday's maximum temperature was 41.6 degree Celsius, a notch above the season's average while the minimum was 25 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
