It was a sunny and sultry Tuesday in Delhi as the maximum temperature settled two notches above average at 35.5 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast light rains Wednesday.
"The skies will be cloudy tomorrow (Wednesday) and parts of the city will get very light rains," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius, added the official.
The weather Tuesday remained muggy with the maximum humidity was recorded at 92 percent.
The day's minimum temperature was two notches above average at 27.6 degrees Celsius.
Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 762.6 mm of rainfall.
Monday's maximum temperature was recorded three notches above the seasons' average at 36.7 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.1 degree Celsius, average for this time of the year.
