A chilly, foggy morning gave way to a pleasant, sunny day in the national capital Tuesday as the maximum temperature settled three notches below the season's average at 19 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected Wednesday.
"There will be light mist tomorrow (Wednesday) morning but the day would be clear and sunny," said an India Meteorological Department official.
The day's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 20 and 8 degrees Celsius.
Tuesday morning was chilly and foggy and as a result around 20 trains coming to the city were delayed, the Northern Railway said. Flights though were not disrupted by the fog.
The minimum temperature in the morning settled a notch above the season's average at 9 degrees Celsius.
The maximum humidity was recorded at 97 percent.
Monday's maximum temperature settled three notches below the season's average at 20 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was three notches above season's average at 11.8 degrees Celsius.
