A total of 17 Delhi-bound trains delayed due to fog here on Tuesday morning while the city experienced a sunny day ahead with the maximum temperature settling at 24.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above average, officials said. Wednesday is likely to be sunny too.
Northern Railway said that 17 trains were delayed while the timing of three trains rescheduled due to fog. Flight operation, however, was unaffected.
"There would be a shallow to moderate fog on Wednesday morning while the sky may be clear throughout the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 25 and 11 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Tuesday's minimum temperature settled at 10.1 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, while the maximum humidity was recorded 97 percent.
The visibility at 8.30 a.m. was recorded 400 metres.
Monday's maximum temperature was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius, average for the season, while the minimum temperature settled at 10.1 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
