Kurt Warner, Most Valuable Player of NFL Super Bowl 2, will visit the Begumpet Police Astro Turf Ground Wednesday and become the first world American football player to speak to Elite Football League of India team Hyderabad Skykings and Bangalore Warhawks players.
He will also formally launch the 10 shortlisted Indian Universities which will participate in the University National League Championship.
Kurt Warner has the top three passing performances in Super Bowl history. His 1,156 yards passing in the 2008 playoffs broke the NFL record of 1,063 he set with St. Louis in 1999.
In 124 regular-season games, Warner completed 65.5 percent of his passes for 32,344 yards and 208 touchdowns. He is only the second quarterback in NFL to throw 100 touchdowns and 14,000 yards for two teams.
"I am extremely excited about the possibilities of the EFLI," said Kurt Warner. "I became a partner for two primary reasons. First, to expand the reach of what I believe is the greatest team sport in the world. The game of football has a chance to impact the lives of many people and families in India, like it did for mine. Second, I believe the success of EFLI will present us with some amazing opportunities to impact their communities from a charitable perspective.
The NFL's championship game, the Super Bowl, is the most popular single-day sporting event in the United States and among the most-watched club sporting events in the world.
