Singer Justin Bieber has been facing criticism from celebrities following his latest arrest. But Lady Gaga is an exception as she is asking her fans to support the controversial star and his fan base.

While Seth Rogen was very vocal in bashing Bieber, the "Born This Way singer has asked her

'little monsters' to support the "Baby" hitmaker, reports mirror.co.uk.

"Hey monsters. I know everyone today is taking about Justin's arrest and all sorts of words and judgements are happening on the Internet. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to stand up for themselves, but I think we should be supportive of Beliebers," Gaga posted on a social networking site.

"They deserve, just like any other fan, to feel strong for each other and Justin so they can continue to share the bond they have through music. We may not understand everything celebrities do because there's only so much we see, but Justin and Beliebers were 'born this way' too," she posted further.

Gaga added: "Let's spread love and compassion to Beliebers today. That is what we are all about. Can you trend #MonstersSupportBeliebers?"

Bieber was arrested Thursday at a beach in Miami for drunk driving and drag racing, but he later walked out of jail on bail.

The legal drinking age in the state of Florida is 21.
